Chawanis Ash is a standout leader, speaker and coach. Through her years of experience in the professional counseling industry, she has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of individuals, couples and families.

Through her company, CJA Counseling Services, founded in 2010, she provides individual, couple and group counseling to those suffering from addiction, trauma and life crisis. As a result, she later founded Chawanis Speaks, a program dedicated to helping women discover and lead authentic lives. Through monthly coaching calls, speaking engagements and radio & television appearances, she has helped women, young and old, break through issues of the past to live full authentic and purposeful lives. She also released her first book, The Distance Between God and Me, which chronicles her journey from heartache to finding God and her true self.

Chawanis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of West Georgia, Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Counseling at Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology, and post-graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University’s School of Medicine. Most recently, she has transitioned into a new career as a Management Analyst in Finance for county government.

Chawanis has been married to her husband, Denard, for 13 years and live in Metro Atlanta with their two dogs, Brewster and Sasha. She enjoys enjoy traveling, leisure reading and yoga.
